You Have Typed It Into The Search Bar Again

Eleven at night, phone in your hand, jaw tight. How do I know when perimenopause starts.

You have searched some version of that four times this month.

You have looked at the finger-prick hormone kits with the clean packaging and the promise of an answer. One is probably in your basket.

You asked your mother and got vague. Something about her fifties, she thinks, she was busy.

What you want is a date. Here is why nobody can give you one, and what you can actually do with that.

Which Organ Causes Type 2?

Harvard MDs just proved diabetes is NOT caused by age, diet, or genetics.

It’s actually caused by a “forgotten organ” that PUMPS blood sugar in your body - causing type 2 in millions.

But which organ is it?

(Tap the image you think is right.)

HINT - This organ turns everything you eat into blood sugar. It’s immune to diet and meds… and it’s NOT the pancreas.

Good news is, when you heal this “hidden organ”...

You can actually reverse diabetes for good:

The Test You Are Considering

Anti-Müllerian hormone is produced by developing follicles in your ovaries. It reflects the size of the pool you have left, which is why it is used in fertility medicine.

Nelson and colleagues reviewed the evidence in Human Reproduction Update in 2023, pooling 41 studies covering 28,858 women.

For women under 40, the prediction intervals ranged from 2 to 12 years.

That is not a forecast. That is a shrug with a decimal point in it.

Chew On This “Vampire Plant” To See Wrinkles & Dark Spots Vanish

A researcher recently tested a bizarre “Vampire Plant” on a 64-year-old grandmother.

She simply chewed on it for three days straight.

Her deep, stubborn forehead wrinkles completely flattened out. Even the dark, sun-damaged age spots on her cheeks faded. She literally looked like she had stolen the youth right out of someone else.

It turns out chewing this plant releases a rare compound that forces old skin layers to rapidly shed, boosting collagen production almost overnight.

It Sharpens Only When You Are Nearly There

Close to the end, the test starts working. In one study, a woman with AMH below 10 picograms per millilitre had around a 51 percent probability of reaching menopause within twelve months if she was under 48, rising to 79 percent if she was 51 or older.

So the test becomes informative at exactly the point your own body has already told you.

The review's own conclusion is blunt. Prediction of age at menopause remains imprecise when it is not imminent.

Which means the kit in your basket will not answer the question you are asking it.

Ask Your Mother Properly

Do this, this week. Phone her and ask for the year, not the decade.

How old were you when your periods stopped completely. When did they start going strange. What was the worst of it for you, and how long did it go on.

Age at menopause runs substantially in families, and your mother's answer is the single most useful piece of information available to you about your own timeline. It costs nothing.

Ask your aunts and your older sisters too. Write the numbers down somewhere you will find them again.

That information disappears when those women do, and almost nobody collects it in time.

Then Stop Waiting For The Date

The planning error is treating this as something that begins on a future day you can prepare for.

Assume the window is open now. The things that matter are the ones that are time-sensitive regardless of the date.

A baseline, taken this year, of the measurements that will only mean something in comparison later. Your bone density if you can get it. Your lipids. Your blood pressure, measured properly. Your symptoms, scored and dated.

None of that requires knowing the date. All of it becomes less useful the longer you wait for one.

If your periods have stopped before 45, and especially before 40, that is not early perimenopause to be observed with interest.

That is premature ovarian insufficiency or early menopause, it carries specific bone and cardiovascular consequences, and it needs diagnosis and usually treatment rather than monitoring.

Go now, not when you have finished reading about it.

You are not waiting for a date. You are already inside the thing you keep trying to schedule.
